ARRIVAL INFORMATION (Saturday 15th August)' );
document.write( 'Hamble River Sailing Club will be signposted from Hamble Lane (the road you follow from the M27 motorway). On arrival competitors will be asked to unhitch their trailers by the marshals (in yellow jackets) and move their car immediately to the Donkey Derby field five minutes walk from the club. You will be asked to return for you road trailers later in the day to move them to the Donkey Derby field.' );

document.write( 'Registration will be open from 1000 in the club house. All competitors must complete registration before they take to the water.

document.write( 'The competitors briefing will take place at 1230 in the club house. The practice race is scheduled for 1430.

document.write( 'Scrutineering v all boats must be weighed before sailing - will take place from 1000 to 1300 and for a further hour after the practice race is completed for late arrivals.

document.write( 'At registration, tickets will be on sale for the Helms dinner, Sunday night BBQ and Wednesday evening competitor's meal. These must be purchased on Saturday so our caterers know how many people to cook for. Additional weekly social tickets will be available for those not sailing.' );

GREAT NEWS In the last week Hamble Parish Council have kindly given us permission to use the Donkey Derby field (space for 200 cars, 5 minutes walk from the club) for FREE parking throughout the Championship Week. This is a change from previous arrangements. Road trailers will also be parked in this field during the championship.' );

REMINDER Under 18s need guardian forms. An under 18 guardian form MUST be completed and signed before any under 18s go on the water. Forms can be posted to the club (preferred) or handed in at registration (if you want to leave it late but please dont...). The form can be downloaded from this page' );

document.write( 'Hamble River Sailing Club is located on the west bank of the River Hamble. The club has all the normal facilities, a great race management team and a large fleet of Fireflys. Most fireflys were born in Hamble and the club has previously run the 2002 Firefly Nationals where 71 boats competed. The organisers want to see more of you in 2009.' );

As always, there will be a myriad of keen volunteers working hard to ensure the success of the Championship. With great racing on the Solent and a busy social programme, a superb and memorable event is in prospect. Latest news is that the championship race committee will be led by top PRO Jamie Wilkinson. Jamie (knows his onions) and runs the Garmin Hamble Winter Series, RYA's Sail for Gold and other internationally reknowned events.' );

Off the water, we are expecting the usual packed social programme including the original Duckhams Trophy every night; the return of the world famous (Ornament Tournament), Wooden Boat, Tupperware and Crews Union Parties, , Discos, live bands, BBQs, and as it's the Strawberry Nationals - of course, we'll be having a strawberry and pimms evening. The bar will be open late every night.' );

The host club has already met with the class association to discuss logistics and a great plan for the week is being put in place. In brief, the format will be very similar to 2008 with racing cunningly arranged around the tide times to ensure rapid transit to and from the race course.' );
